Angry Chickens Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins
chocolate chip pumpkin muffins
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2 egg whites
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2/3 cups apple sauce
1/3 cup vegetable oil 1 can
(15oz) pumpkin
1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flours, spices, and all the other dry stuff together. In a different bowl mix the eggs, oil, applesauce and pumpkin. Add the dry stuff- to the wet, then stir in the chocolate chips. Bake 20 min. A clever commenter yesterday suggested dropping this batter by the tablespoon on sheet to make soft cookies (cook for 8-10 minutes) and I think this is brilliant.

Finally!! A perfect travel container for cupcakes.
Okay, after numerous times of making cupcakes for the girls classes and trying to figure out how they can get them there safely, I finally found the container. Most containers only hold 12 at most 24 cupcakes. There is usually more kids then that in their classes. I have lined boxes with tin foil and usually they do not make it to school very pretty. Pictured is the container that will work. Yahoo. Now-- I just need to find it locally, so I do not have to pay shipping.

My Middle Child
I remember seeing Ashlynn for the first time...She was puckering her lips and calm as can be...She was such a calm baby compared to Brayden. She loved to snuggle, and was my snuggle bear...She was happiest being close and loves to have the blanket close to her face.. Her Grandma made her what we call an ABC Blanket...She still sleeps with that every night....She is my thinker....She is very smart, and likes to question "why" to everything, and will not stop till she knows everything about everything that she is curious about...She is sensitive, Beautiful inside and out. She has the cutest freckles. She is one of the most strong minded people I know. If she has something set in her mind she will achieve it. When she was two she had it set in her mind she only would wear dresses. I picked out a dress for her and it was blue---she told me girls do not wear blue.....so, she would not put it on....She fought me like crazy until I thought I was crazy for arguing with a two year old. I picked her up, put her in the car in just her panties and she missed pre-school. Guess what ---she never wore that dress. Who Won......she missed pre-school, which she loved, but she didn't wear that blue dress. Her favorites things are bears, salads, shoes, the colors yellow, orange and green. Her eyes are the most beautiful color of green..She loves school, and does very well in school. She loves to have lots of friends around her. She looks up to her big sister, and is a great big sister to Kaylor. She gets left out alot, being in the middle...She is quite, but she is a thinker, She takes everything in and doesn't want to miss out on anything. She definitely is her daddies girl. She thinks he is the greatest.. She is mechanical, and loves to tear things apart, to see how they work. We find tools in her room, much to our dismay. I love that she is strong-willed, although as a parent it is hard...I fear for her future a little less, because I know she will conquer whatever crosses her path. I pray that she will stay strong and make right choices. Her teachers love her, she is always jumps in and wants to help. I am proud and lucky she is my daughter. Her future is bright. She is my middle child......

Dentist Appointment
Today I had to go to the dentist. What I thought was going to be a painless procedure turned out to be a very ouchy one. They had to give me a shot in my pallet. He said it would hurt a little. Heyyyy buddy that was not a little. I wanted to flee and run away or better yet kick his butt.... Why do dentist say that it is only going to hurt a little. Yeah right. THAT WAS A BIG HURT. Okay I am a wuss I admit....but....it really did hurt....alot... Thank goodness my sister was working on me. Kellie is really good at what she does and she always makes me feel better, or as best as she can due to my current fear of the dentist....
My appointment took 3 1/2 hrs. During my appt.to make myself feel better I had to drift to a happy place and some funny thoughts about Jarrod kept popping up...Last night he was dancing all crazy and shaking his bootie--which I know he would kill me if he knew I was sharing this. But, hey it made me drift a way to my happy place, and I could tolerate the rest of my appt. I just kept picturing it, and if you know Jarrod-- this is really unlike him...so it was really funny...
Warning...This photo is not me... I did not leave smiling. In fact I left drooling....and was told to come back in a few weeks. Yeah RIGHT....Okay...I will be a good girl and go back....

My First Born.
Brayden Noel was born on Jan 1. She was born a little miniature adult....She hated being bundled and had to have her hands out. The first time I saw her Her eyes were wide open. It was like to didn't want to miss a thing. She was long and skinny...Her first cry was the most beautiful sound I ever heard. I couldn't sleep for days, I just stared at her....I was very sick when she was born, with ecoli that I had gotten from the hospital and when it was time to give her her first bath. Jarrod did it. He was such a good daddy, trying to take care of me and the new baby..Angie, my sister came and stayed with me too. Brayden being wide eyed and curious did not like being confined to nurse.. She would tear off the blanket. I was very modest and hated that. She would wiggle and cry every time I tried. We finally figured it out. She wanted tot be in control.. She was much happier when she could see what was going on and could hold her own bottle. I stopped nursing her around 7 months. She wasn't a cuddler then, but is now. She loves to snuggle. When her sisters came, she was another mother to them. She wanted to help and make sure they were okay. She is very independent and can figure anything out. She has always been my helper. She is so smart and caring. People are drawn to her. She is definitely a better person then I will ever be. I am so proud to be her mom. To name a few things she likes. Her favorite color has always been blue. She loves dogs. I think if she could she would have a dog of every kind, and possibly be a dog. Ha ha. She always wanted to play doggie. Her sisters never did. Which always really bummed her out, I think they would've played more with her except it had to be done in her way.. Her best friend is Elle. She loves school this year. She is an excellent swimmer. She loves origami. She is fun to be around and has a wonderful sense of humor. She can figure out how to read any directions and patterns. I have had her read them and teach me how. She is patient. She is sweet and loving. She is sensitive. She is my first born.....

Daily Reminder to.....
Living in the small space that we do, this is really what I need to do. I feel like the walls are caving in on me and I just want to scoop up everything up so I can have some breathing room.. We have most of our stuff in storage, but lately it has been making its way back to our little apartment that we are staying in for the time being. The stuff is taking over....HELP...

Pillowcase Bag
Look at this adorable bag made out of a pillow case. This would be perfect for the girls to take trick-or-treating, an overnight bag, or just a great bag for any occasion. It looks simple enough that I can even make it. The how-to is below. or read it here.
