Office Puppies Dressed For Trick or Treating

Halloween Pranks

Okay, I am not one to be easily scared by spiders, However this morning I turned on my computer waited till it booted up. I went to make some calls that I needed to make. I pulled out my keyboard and a big spider was on it. I screamed just as my customer was picking up!! My office was cracking up. I had to quickly compose myself as my customer is on the other end- saying Hello! Poor guy as I shouted in his ear!! Whoops sorry. Our East Coast office sent the spiders in our mail pouch. Ha Ha Funny!!! They actually got us all. I am the last one to come in, but everyone got a little spook this morning....

Halloween Party

We were invited to a Halloween Party the other night. We thought it would be fun to all dress up like the band KISS. All the kids were excited until........ Jarrod looked great!
notice Ashlynn. Middle Child....looking miserable. Once we got her make on she hated it. She cried for about an hour. Notice her shirt all white with makeup. She hated how the make-up felt. She was not going to be happy.
Brayden loved it. She is a ham!

Here is Ashlynn smearing her make-up we were already dressed up to late to change. When we got to the party we let her wash it off. This was supposed to be fun RIGHT? Remind me next year costumes with no make-up....

Cleaning House for 2007

CLEANING HOUSE FOR 2007

Last Week I threw out Worrying, it was getting old and in the way. It kept me from being me; I couldn't do things God's way.

I threw out a book on MY PAST(Didn't have time to read it anyway).

Replaced it with NEW GOALS, started reading it today.

I threw out hate and bad memories,(Remember how I treasured them so)?

Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too, threw out the one from long ago.

Brought in some new books too, called I CAN, I WILL, AND I MUST .

Threw out I might, I think and I ought.WOW, you should've seen the dust.

I ran across an OLD FRIEND, I hadn't talked to in a while.

His name is GOD the Father, and I
really like His style.

He helped me to do some cleaning and added some things Himself.

Like PRAYER, HOPE , FAITH and LOVE, Yes I placed them right on the shelf.

I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door.

I FOUND IT- its called PEACE. Nothing gets me down anymore.

Yes, I've got my house looking nice.

Looks good around the place. For things like Worry and Trouble there just isn't any space.

It's good to do a little house cleaning,Get rid of the things on the shelf.

It sure makes things brighter; maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF. BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!!

Yummy & Pretty

Womanhood - James E. Faust

"I wonder if you sisters fully understand the greatness of your gifts and talents and how all of you can achieve the 'highest place of honor' in the Church and in the world. One of your unique, precious, and sublime gifts is your femininity, with its natural grace, goodness, and divinity. Femininity is not just lipstick, stylish hairdos, and trendy clothes. It is the divine adornment of humanity. It finds expression in your qualities of your capacity to love, your spirituality, delicacy, radiance, sensitivity, creativity, charm, graciousness, gentleness, dignity, and quiet strength. It is manifest differently in each girl or woman, but each of you possesses it. Femininity is part of your inner beauty.
"One of your particular gifts is your feminine intuition.
Do not limit yourselves. As you seek to know the will of our Heavenly Father in your life and become more spiritual, you will be far more attractive, even irresistible. You can use your smiling loveliness to bless those you love and all you meet, and spread great joy. Femininity is part of the God-given divinity within each of you. It is your incomparable power and influence to do good. You can, through your supernal gifts, bless the lives of children, women, and men. Be proud of your womanhood. Enhance it. Use it to serve others."
(James E. Faust "Womanhood: The Highest Place of Honor," Ensign, May 2000, 96)

Cute Krinkle Products

Calligraphy

I took these pointer's from Oh happy day's Website. I am trying to teach myself calligraphy, and although fun it is very challenging.
It has nothing to do with handwriting. {I have good handwriting so I thought I would be good at calligraphy, not true!} Calligraphy is closer to drawing than handwriting.-It isn't imperative to have expensive materials, just the right ones. The pen and nib my teacher uses costs only a few dollars. -Calligraphy is really hard. It takes months and months of daily practice before you get even kind of good.I had bought calligraphy books before thinking I could learn myself from a book. As it turns out there are very few good books out there. If you want to learn on your own, the best thing to do is to take a one time class from a master who can tell you what books to buy and show you the proper form before you start practicing on your own.

Babies and Fathers

This is funny, I am so glad Jarrod wasn't like this. To be honest I was/am more like this than he is. He has always helped clean up throw up when I couldn't.........such a good guy....

Spirit Store

The older girls are so hard to get pictures of now....
at least he smiled......
even these guys did too.
Last night for FHE we decided we were going to the Halloween Spirit Store for the last few things we needed for a Halloween Party we are going to on Friday. Last year Kaylor was terrified and I don't blame her of all the scary things. Jarrod took her up to one of the props and said, " Look it's not real!" she was about to trust him and it screamed a horrendous scream and lifted it's head off. She screamed and grabbed on to him and tight as she could, needless to say we immediately left. He felt so bad. Poor girl...This year she decided she was brave and wanted to go. She still is a little timid, and you can tell in her face she not to sure....This store is pretty scary....

Tanya's 2 Year Anniversary

Today we took Tanya who is our Admin out to Red Robin for her 2 year Anniversary. We had lots of fun. I am stuffed and ready to go home and take a nap......zzzzzzzzzzz Tanya is a sweet person. Her and I share an office and we get to talk a lot.....It's fun being in a office of all girls and we all get along. Tanya was a legal assistant for one of my most favorite people in the world- Charlie Woodman who is a lawyer. He was also in the bishopric when I was in the University Ward. I know Charlie misses her, but I am so glad she works here now.

Fun Day at Pumpkin Patch

Kaylor was able to go to the Pumpkin Patch on Friday with Mallory, Carson, Patrick and Katie daughter. Looks like they had lots of fun.....

Asthma bites!!!

This last weekend I was exhausted. I have been having asthma and battling a cold for about two weeks now. I stayed home on Saturday and missed my nieces 1st birthday on Saturday in which I was really sad. The kids and dad had lots of fun, so much fun they did not get home till almost midnight, needless to say we did not make it to church on Sunday. I am kind of cranky about it. We lounged around all day and did nothing. I guess we needed it, because I feel better today. Ready to start a new week, feeling better and breathing better. I hate having asthma, the older I get the worse it seems to come on and takes forever to overcome. I am tired of it. TIRED, TIRED, sick and TIRED of it. I want to live, breath, run and not be weary.....Okay, I am done whining for today.....

Just As I Am

Just As I Am

Just ran across this blog and had to share her cute cookies......along with tutorial.

Book Club "The Family Noboday Wanted" by Helen Doss

I am half way through this book and can hardly put it down. This is an intriguing story of a family that adopts children during a time when mixed race was intolerable. Not, only do they adopt one they adopt twelve children of different racial and special needs. She is a very brave women as she tends to these children, basically on her own, while her husband is busy with school and career. They have articles written about them in LIFE and Readers Digest. That is where I am at in the book.

I would recommend this book. Enjoy.....
